eGFR
eGFR (estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate) indicates how much the kidneys are able to excrete waste products in the blood into the urine, and the lower this value, the worse the kidney function. eGFR can be calculated from serum creatinine level and age and gender. Creatinine levels are affected by muscle mass and may underestimate or overestimate eGFR.
