The Health Service Center is currently working in collaboration with the University of Tokyo Office for Gender Equity on initiatives such as the installation of menstrual products.
On Monday, June 30, we will be holding an event on campus to discuss accessibility to menstrual products. We warmly invite you to join us.
【Call for Participants】“Comfort and Dignity: Exploring Menstrual Product Accessibility on Campus – Beyond Dispensers and Information Cards.”
The University of Tokyo Office for Gender Equity is working to make campus safe and comfortable for all, including better access to menstrual products.
With support from NPO TGP (led by Riko Higashio), new dispensers have been installed in restrooms. In partnership with the Women’s Clinic, we also created cards with information on reproductive health and services.
To mark this progress, we will hold a talk event on June 30 titled:“Comfort and Dignity: Exploring Menstrual Product Accessibility on Campus – Beyond Dispensers and Information Cards.”
At this event, we welcome Ms. Higashio and Dr. Emi Nakanishi and together, we will explore the ideas and intentions behind the dispensers and information cards, and reflect on what lies “beyond the products.” How can we build a campus where everyone can access knowledge and care related to menstruation and reproductive health with dignity and ease? The event will take place at the Student Plaza, Center for Global Education (GlobE), Hongo Campus. If you wish to attend, please register via the form. We warmly invite you to join us!
