CRP

CRP

A protein that increases in serum when inflammation or destruction of tissue cells occurs. When inflammation occurs, it increases rapidly within 24 hours and decreases after 2-3 days, which is useful for early diagnosis of inflammation. Although this test cannot identify the disease, it is an important indicator for understanding the progress, severity, and progress of the disease.

It is also positive in inflammatory diseases, diseases with tissue destruction, acute gastritis, leukemia, and acute osteitis. A diagnosis is made based on a combination of various tests, so retesting may be necessary in the recovery phase of an inflammatory disease or when a latent bacterial infection is suspected.

In addition, since it may rise due to a cold, etc., in this case, the test should be performed when the symptoms have subsided to determine the presence or absence of latent inflammation or disease.
