Fecal Occult Blood Test
Bleeding from anywhere in the lower gastrointestinal tract (small intestine, large intestine, etc.) causes blood to enter the stool. If there is a lot of bleeding, it can be seen with the naked eye that the stool is bloody (red stool, dark black stool, or tarry stool), but if the bleeding is small, it is often invisible to the naked eye. A fecal occult blood test is a test to check whether there is blood in the stool [presence or absence of bleeding in the lower gastrointestinal tract (mainly the large intestine)].

There is a possibility that there is some kind of disease in the large intestine, so please consult a medical institution as soon as possible and undergo a detailed examination. A detailed examination is basically a colonoscopy. When consulting with a medical institution about fecal occult blood positive, it is recommended that you consult with the same medical institution if you have had a colonoscopy in the past.
In addition, since the lesion is not always bleeding, it does not make sense to repeat the fecal occult blood test instead of the detailed examination. A thorough inspection is required.
