■Overview
A fee-based medical check-up is available at the Internal Medicine Department of Hongo and Komaba Health Service Centers. (By appointment only. Starting from 9:30)
*Although you can also receive the check-up at Kashiwa Health Service Center, chest X-rays are not available. You will need to visit either the Hongo or Komaba Health Service Centers to have your chest X-rays taken.
■Contents of the medical check-up
① Height, weight, BMI, waist measurements
② Blood pressure
③ Visual acuity (eye sight test)
④ Audiometry
⑤ Urine analysis (uric blood, protein, sugar)
⑥ Chest X-ray examination
⑦ Electrocardiography
⑧ Fecal occult blood test
⑨ Blood sample analysis (white blood cell count, red blood cell count, hemoglobin, hematocrit, MCV, MCH, MCHC, platelet count, AST, ALT, γ-GT, total bilirubin, ALP, LDH, HDL-cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, total cholesterol, triglyceride, uric acid, creatinine, CRP, glucose, HbA1c, HBs antigen, HCV antibody)
■Eligibility
Members of the University of Tokyo (students, staff, and faculties, researchers, etc.) who meet any of the following conditions:
- Those who are not eligible for the regular medical check-up conducted by the university
- Those who were unable to receive the regular medical check-up conducted by the university
- Those with special circumstances such as wanting to take a medical check-up before the regular medical check-up

■Charges
Medical check-up fee: JPY 5,000
Consultation fee: JPY 100 x 2 times (free of charge for students)
■Flow of check-up
1. Apply for the check-up by e-mail or in person at the Health Service Center where you wish to receive the check-up.
2. Receive specimen containers by visiting the Health Service Center or through the on-campus mail service. (They will not be sent to your home.)
3. Check-up will be conducted on the reserved date.
4. Visit the Internal Medicine Department of the Health Service Center after one week. Have the results explained by a doctor and receive the standard medical certificate issued by the Health Service Center.
■Notes
・You may eliminate items that you do not wish to have examined. However, no reduction in fees will be made.
・The blood tests will be performed as a set, so some of the items cannot be eliminated.
・Please do not forget the bring your specimens. If you do not bring the specimen on the day of the check-up, the specimens will not be examined. Fees will not be reduced.
■Others
・If you need a medical certificate other than the standard medical certificate issued by the Health Service Center, they may be issued for JPY 1,000 each.
・If there is a designated form or item, please print out and bring the designated form or guidelines with you and consult with us before taking the check-up.
・Additional tests could be added (fee-based) if the check-up items do not meet the designated specified form or items. Please be sure to consult with us before taking the check-up.
・The results of this medical check-up can be used as a substitute for legally required regular check-ups (excluding check-ups for RI users, those engaged in specified work content, etc.) to be taken at the university.
