Certificates of negative test results of COVID-19 for overseas travel.

The university’s health service centers will carry out PCR tests or qualitative antigen tests of SARS-CoV-2 and issue certificates of negative results for those who require certificates showing a negative result of COVID-19 tests when traveling abroad if the results from their tests are negative.

The sensitivity of the COVID-19 PCR test and qualitative antigen test are not 100% and there is a window period at the biginning of infection. Therefore, even if the test is negative, the possibility of suffering from the COVID-19 cannot be ruled out. Please be aware that even if the test is negative, you may be denied entry or quarantined if you have symptoms.

Current members of this university (students, faculties and staff, etc. who have official status)

  • Before making the appointment, please be aware that:

  • ・ The process for testing at our centers is as follows:
  • 　〇 Antigen qualitative test:more than 40 min. after the inspection 
  • 　〇 PCR test: at least 2 days.
  • ・Please note that we do not operate on Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, or some other days due to the annual check-ups.
  • ・Since the tests are done by appointments only, please note that the reservations for the date you desire may be filled. If there are not enough days before your travel date and you think that you cannot enter the country within the test expiration date, please consult an external medical institution.
  • ・Please contact us after arranging your schedule based on the regulation of your destination country, transit country or airline company.
  • ・Please confirm if there are any specified certificates or notes needed on your certificate. HP of embassy or airline company, etc.
  • ・We do not take any responsibility for refusals of entry into the country or boarding due to any flaws.

How to make a reservation

1. Please password protect and send the following documents as attachments to an e-mail to the e-mail address of the health center in your desired area. The title of the email should be "Travel Clinic Application".

  • ・Documents showing what kind of inspection is required.
  • ・Specific formats for negative certificates (if any)

2. The person in charge will send a confirmation email once the documents have been received.
E-mail replies will be sent only on the days that the internal medicine section is open.
Making an appointment for the inspection will be by email.

3. Please read the application form carefully and come to the office on the appointed date. Please make sure to contact us in case you need to cancel.

        More than 40 minutes are needed after the test usually the medical certificates can be issued on the same day.
