《Student》

・Check-ups for students enrolled in April and in the first semester of the Junior Division

In addition to the Students’ Yearly Health Check-up items that apply to each student, items required for teaching practice and care practice (measles/rubella antibody tests, vision/hearing tests) will be added.

 

《staff and faculties》

Items specified by law

Interview (medical history, lifestyle), height, weight, BMI, waist measurements, visual acuity (eyesight test), audiometry, chest X-ray examination, blood pressure measurement, urine analyses (sugar, protein), electrocardiography, physical examination (doctor’s consultation), blood sample analyses (red blood cell count, hemoglobin, GOT(AST), GPT(ALT), γ-GTP, neutral fats, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, blood sugar, HbA1c)

Points to note for the various health check-ups

    ・Please wear clothing that is easy to put on and take off for ease at the examination. Stockings should not be worn to the examination.

    ・As chest X-rays will be taken, Please wear or bring a plain T-shirt.

    ・If you are wearing an insulin pump or blood glucose sensor which cannot be remove at the health check-up venue, please consult with the Hongo Health Service Center in advance.

    ・Information concerning the blood tests: Analysis of the blood in the fasting state is ideal.

    ・Those who have their check-up in the morning should finish eating by 9:00 p.m. and come without having breakfast as well as refraining from having drinks that contain calories.
    ・Those with check-ups in the afternoon should finish a light breakfast by 7:00am, and refrain from eating and only have drinks that do not have calories in them until after the check-up.
    ・Drinking water, tea, or other non-caloric beverages is not a problem, so make sure to drink water regularly to prevent dehydration.
    ・Please check with your doctor about fasting for blood tests if you are taking medication daily.
    ・Please refrain from drinking alcohol and doing strenuous exercise the day before the test.

    ・Urine sample: You will receive a urine sample container before the health check-up. Please take your urine sample first thing on the morning of the check-up.

    ・If you are menstruating, collect urine with care for blood contamination, pre-cleaning, for example.
    ・Those who do not receive a sample container from the administrative department should pick up a sample container from the Health Service Center.

    ・Stool sample (only for those specified): Samples can be taken up to 4 days prior to your check-up. Please submit the stool sample containers for two days. You can submit only during the health check-up period.

    ・Please write your name in katakanagender, date of taking sample on the sample container and envelope.
    ・If you are menstruating, you cannot take the test. You do not need to submit a stool sample container.

    ・Information concerning the Eyesight tests: If you wear glasses or contact lenses for work, please wear them during the check-up.         

    Online Medical Questionnaires and reservations are required. You may not be able to take the health check-up at that time if you have not completed even one.

    ・Health check-ups can be taken on any campus.

    ・Please take voluntary measures to prevent infection. 
     Please cooperate in wearing a mask, preferably made of non-woven fabric, when you come to the venue. If you are feeling unwell, please cancel your reservation yourself.

    Please do not bring valuables with you. The Division for Health Service center will not be responsible for any loss or damages during the health check-ups.

    Certificates of check-up results (For Students): The certificate of check-up results/medical certificate can be issued approximately 3 weeks after the health check-up, click here.
